It’s a long time coming, but the Bay Area will finally be the setting to its own reggae festival with the 1st Annual Bay Area Reggae Fest at Craneway Pavillion in Richmond, California. Embrace the sweet sounds of reggae with this 3-day festival which hosts the biggest names in reggae as well as local artists with over 30 live bands on 4 stages representing many parts of the world including Jamaica, Haiti, Africa and the U.S. Confirmed artists include dancehall king Beanie Man, princess of reggae Marcia Griffiths, reggae legends Barrington Levy & Freddie McGregor, queen of dancehall Lady Saw, recently added Gyptian & Romain Virgo plus many of your favorite local artists including Bay Area icon Mystic Man, Junior Toots, Bless King Sounds, I Trinity, Joseph Israel, and many more. The picturesque Craneway Pavilion is perfect setting for our gathering, offering an awe-inspiring panorama of the Bay and the San Francisco skyline where the Bay Area reggae community will unite under “the one love” banner to spread a cosmic blend of irie vibes, true happiness, family, peace, love and joy in celebration of the universal spirit of music.
