Bio:
Sistah Beauty was introduced to Reggae Music in 1992 by King Caleb of Black Spades Records. Beauty performed her first single "Queen To Be", while working with artists both local and international. Fadda Demus of "Cabin Stabbin"; Daddy Freddy and Sister I-Live, to name a few. In 1994 Beauty returned to the East Coast to complete college courses, while continuing her song writing. She attended Berkeley College of Midtown New York, NY. Sistah Beauty got more involved in her community with the local shelter systems, helping her to strengthening her own family unit. In 2004, Sistah Beauty returned to the Bay Area. Soon after, she recorded her 2nd ("RED EYE"); 3rd ("Some Claim") and 4th ("I'm Comin") single, at Crucial Youth Productions. For publicity, she started off doing harmonies and minor gigs for closing artists. Beauty opened for De'zerie of St. Croix, later working with Glen Washington; Eddie Fitzroy; Maxi Priest and Queen Omega. Now, Beauty is singing her own music in lights of increasing crowds.
Sistah Beauty is a member of Lagos Roots Afro-beat Ensemble. A band of 17 members all who has earned their respectful names through time; perseverance and hard work. Lagos Roots have members such as Geoffrey Enibu as well as Sunny Okosuns of Afrika 70 and guitarist of Black President, FELA KUTI.
Expect much more in the near future from Sistah Beauty, for many would say she is rising.
