Bio:
Hi, I'm Skuzzy Bono and here's my band "Boom Box Theory". Together with my partner in rhyme Verse 1 we have created a new alternative in music. Haling from the New England area, we are here to claim our place in music. It's okay to be stoked,... this is about to get AWESOME!!! Arguably, the first “Rock &Roll Pop Star” icon came to be in the 50’s (Baby Boomer) era with the late great Elvis Presley. The next generation to follow (The Hippies) had an abundance of virtuoso “Rock Stars” as well. Then enters the (Generation X) but unlike it’s predecessors, this generation while still having a “Rock” mentality now has a new podium in which to preach. (Hip Hop),…. with it’s edgy realness and street relativity it was an obvious choice for the youth of that time. As early as 1983 acts like Run DMC and a few years later KRS ONE were using original rock guitar samples, but it was The Beastie Boys who changed the sound when they became the first white performers of the genre. Soon after, hip hop and rock bands were collaborating regularly. Anthrax & Public Enemy‘s remake of “Bring The Noise“, Biohazard & Onyx‘s “Judgment Night“, etc…. but it was the mid 90’s that also brought about the first “all in one” rock-rap sound with bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, 311, P.O.D. and Linkin Park to name a few. Slowly the evolution of this musical fusion began to take shape in different forms. As newer versions surfaced, the popularity of the older ones diminished. Some bands like Korn, and Linkin Park have maintain a timeless appeal through the art of reinvention. Now that were entering a new decade, a new generation of young people are ready for a change. A change of influence. Not to leave the old ones behind, but to add new ones to the roster. We are the next step in the evolution of this music. We are Boom Box Theory….

Sparoh’s “Panama” Delivers a Powerful Message of Confidence and Creative Freedom

Sparoh is an Atlanta-based artist creating music at the crossroads of melodic trap, alternative pop, and punk-fueled rebellion. Equal parts vulnerable and unapologetic, her work explores identity, liberation, and the complexities of Black womanhood.Raised in the DMV on a foundation of jazz, funk, and blues, Sparoh was drawn early to artists who challenged convention and redefined what was possible. Influenced by trailblazers like Joyce Kennedy,…See More
