Billboard-Charting Detroit Artist Ashwin Gane Premieres “Regret It” Music Video, Fresh Off Texas Takeover Tour, and Announces Star-Studded Dream Cruise Weekend Concert Series

Detroit, MI – Rapper, songwriter, and producer Ashwin Gane is turning up the volume this summer with a triple milestone: the release of his cinematic new music video for Regret It”, the launch of his genre-bending EP Twilight Tales, and the announcement of his Cruise, Culture, Concert Series during Detroit’s famed Dream Cruise Weekend.

Fresh off his Texas Takeover Tour, which brought his dynamic live performances to cities across the South, Gane returns home to deliver a visual that amplifies his reputation for merging trap, R&B, and rock influences into immersive storytelling. Self-produced and conceptually driven, “Regret It” explores the tension between decisions and their emotional aftermath, pairing raw lyricism with moody, high-production cinematography.

The Twilight Tales EP — available now on all streaming platforms — continues this narrative thread, showcasing Gane’s knack for crafting soundscapes that are as introspective as they are sonically rich. The project solidifies his lane as one of Detroit’s most innovative indie voices, with collaborations from Poo Bear and Justin Love.

To celebrate, Gane is headlining the Cruise, Culture, Concert Series, a two-night takeover on August 15–16, 2025, at The Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, MI. Hosted by Polo Frost and NatXOXO, with official DJ Tay Made, the event blends Detroit’s music, car culture, and fashion for an unforgettable Dream Cruise Weekend experience. The lineup features powerhouse performances from Sada Baby, Babyfxce E, Tayy Dior, Nasaan, Clare Siobhan, Moonah, and Courtney Bell, alongside emerging indie talent.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV.
