EXPLORE feat. GIFT OF GAB of Blackalicious
produced by Big Tunes

Jahi releases 7th Studio Album

Fresh off his European release, Soulhop The Breakthru in 2006 on EMI Music Denmark, JAHI returns to his organic Hip Hop Roots with a new studio album "LESS IS MORE" on May 27th, 2008.  The concept behind the album is just that- Less is More.  In this digital world where we are constantly bombarded by new music, new images, videos, mp3, and sounds, JAHI presents a Hiphop recording which gets straight to the point.  Real beats and real rhymes.  Inspired by his return to the Bay Area, JAHI enlists super producer Bassnectar, emerging Bay Area triple-threat- producer Big Tunes, and others, to create a lush musical landscape blended with lyrics of love, passion, politics and partying with a purpose.  The first single off the album, "Explore," features Jahi's friend and musical cadre, Gift of gab of Blackalicious.  JAHI continues to speak his mind, motivate to action, and add new perspectives to socially conscious music. Backed by Tunecore, listeners will be able to purchase "Less is More" on Itunes, Amazon, Rhaspody, eMusic and CD Baby. There will be limited edition physical copies available in California only via Rasputin Record, Amoeba Records and Oakland Street Show Records.  Jahi will also be releasing his first book "A Journey in Hiphop- Volume 1" which chronicles life experiences doing Hip Hop with Public Enemy, overseas in Copenhagen, and the Blackalicious years 2001-2005.

Jahi's new album "LESS IS MORE"
is one of the most compelling Hip Hop projects of the year.  Check what people are saying:

"..Jahi is a dope emcee.."-KRS ONE

"..Always taking it there with raw skills..."-CHUCK D
