She has also written the Spiritwalker trilogy, the Novels of the Jaran, and the Crossroads trilogy, among others, and two of her books have been finalists for the Nebula Award and the World Fantasy Award. Kate was born in Iowa, raised in Oregon, and now lives in Hawaii.

Amelia Gray is the author of five books, most recently Isadora (FSG). Her fiction and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Tin House, and VICE. She is winner of the NYPL Young Lion, of FC2's Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Prize, and a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction.

Rob Reid is the author of two science fiction novels, After On: A Novel of Silicon Valley, and Year Zero. He founded Listen.com, which built the pioneering online music service Rhapsody, and created the unlimited subscription model since adopted by Apple, Spotify, and many others. He's also the author of Year One, a memoir about student life at Harvard Business School; and Architects of the Web, the first true business history of the Internet.

Brontez Purnell's latest book is Since I Laid My Burden Down, his debut novel. He is author of the cult zine Fag School, frontman for his band The Younger Lovers, and founder and choreographer of the Brontez Purnell Dance Company. He was a guest curator for the Berkeley Art Museum's L@TE program in 2012, awarded an invitation to the 2012 Radar Lab queer arts summer residency, honored by Out Magazine's 2012 Hot 100 List and 2013 Most Eligible Bachelors List, and most recently won the 2014 SF Bay Guardian's Goldie for Performance/Music. His previous books include one graphic novel (with illustrator Janelle Hessig) The Cruising Diaries, and a novella Johnny Would You Love Me (if My Dick Were Bigger).

Barbara Jane Reyes is the author of Invocation to Daughters (City Lights Publishers, 2017), and four previous poetry collections, including Poeta en San Francisco. She teaches at USF, and lives in Oakland.

Frances Stroh is the author of Beer Money: a Memoir of Privilege and Loss, which received the Michigan Notable Book Award. She practiced as an installation artist, exhibiting in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London before turning to writing. Frances is a member of the San Francisco Writers’ Grotto, and her work across all media explores issues of identity, point of view, and the mythologies that define us.
