Blue Note recording artist Eddie Gale has been integral in defining the "new music" sound through collaborations with Larry Young, Cecil Taylor, and Sun Ra, who dubbed him "the original avant-garde trumpeter". His new Chamber Unit ensemble features veterans and up-and-comers from the East Bay scene.
