Golden Flux is a collective of artists specializing in many different mediums/genres who are coming together to put on a new interactive ritual/party scene. All our members hail from different walks of life and we all come together for the execution of one vision; to create a unique experience that explores the inner movements of the participants involved. The purpose is to celebrate the natural cycles of the world around us by interacting with our audience at key times of the year in a ritualistic manner. In actuality, we are looking to break down the walls between the performers and the audience. In this space we feed off the crowd and allow them to influence the events that transpire as the night goes on. These events are as much about the people who attend them as it is about the people throwing them. We feel there should be no disconnect between performer and viewer.

The Scorpio Harvest is aimed at celebrating the immense intensity of the people born under the Scorpio sign, and for all those who love to be involved in Scorpio’s antics. Scorpios are known to be determined and forceful, emotional and intuitive, powerful and passionate, exciting and magnetic. Scorpio holds the enviable reputation of being the most sexually magnetic, smolderingly charismatic, and psychologically enigmatic of all the zodiac figures. The Scorpio Harvest is an interactive House dance party that celebrates all things scorpiolicious. And, to draw more Scorpios out of the shadows they tend to hide in, we are letting all Scorpios (born Oct. 22 – Nov. 26th) get in for free. So if you like to spend a no-strings-attached night around the Scorpio energy you must come out and dance at this Scorpio Harvest celebration!

At 11pm we will be holding a Dance off competition where you can show off your moves and express what it means to be scorpionized. All styles welcome. Scorpios draw no lines and adhere to very little rules. So weather you are a ballet dancer, a break-dancer, a club dancer, a tap dancer, or simply a closet dancer we encourage you to show off your most seductive moves. There will be three rounds of competition starting with a classic “soul train” line dance where Professional Dancer Michael Velez, Kim Wu, and DJ Milliways will select the the top dancers for the next round. Round two separates the men from the boys and the crowd will select the finalists. The last two remaining dancers will duel it out in an intense dance battle till the winner emerges. The winner will be crowned the first official Scorpio Harvest King/Queen and will be awarded prizes which include entry to all Golden flux events for the next year, a gift certificate to a sauna/hot tub soak, and an hour and a half massage (to relax your dance crazed body) plus an I-ching divination reading. And to top it off you will get to defend your title of Scorpio King/Queen at next year’s Scorpio Harvest!

After the Dance off the night will be carried away by local house DJs (Mozaic, Milliways, and others TBA) spinning a frenzied web of music that you can lose yourself in. Scorpios are full of energy but also deep and mysterious so the music will be a reflection of this. From House to disco to tech house to soul to deep house. The dance floor will be filled with surprises making this event a night to remember (or forget depending how much of the Scorpio spirit you allow to dictate your actions).
