The Laurel Street Fair World Music Fest returns to Oakland’s Laurel District for it’s 19th Season! Rich with rhythms from around the globe and around the corner, the Laurel Street Fair is dedicated to celebrating our cultural roots, our community and the traditions that bring us together - reflecting all that is wonderfully and beautifully, Oakland.

Diverse, bursting with energy and full of panache, The Laurel Street Fair entices all of your senses; from a sizzling food court to a thirst quenching craft beer garden to an outdoor shopping bazaar that stretches over 6 robust city blocks including an enthralling Kid’s Carnival and Petting Zoo that entertains children of all ages!

We are proud to present live performances by Rupa and the April Fishes, Lagos AfroBeat Ensemble, Parangal Dance Company, Halau Makana, Orquestra Bembe, Sistahs of the Drum, Orfeu Negro, In Lak‘ech Danza Azteca, Cuicacalli Ensemble Folkorico, New Style Hustle, DJ heyLove*, Oakland Youth Poets, B-Side Brujas and much more!

Following tradition, the festival begins with complimentary outdoor yoga led by Elika Aird with a DJ at the Main Stage and concludes at 7PM after a day full of soulful, global rhythms, celebrating community and enjoying the neighborhood!
