On June 19th, 2011, Richard “Steelo” Vazquez--a world-renowned B-Boy and fixture in the LA dance community--suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and was rushed to the emergency room. During his operation and the week that followed, he tragically suffered 3 additional hemorrhages.

Amazingly, Steelo survived this tragic episode and is today quickly relearning to not only walk and talk again, but do what he loves most in this world: dance.

One full year after Steelo’s aneurysm, Style Elements Crew will be hosting a special benefit B-Boy jam to celebrate this precious thing called life and assist Steelo’s wife and one-year old son Elijah through this trying time.

We will be bringing B-Boys, DJ’s, MC’s, Writers and community members throughout California together for a Sunday afternoon of dancing, art, music and unity.

100% of the proceeds raised through the event will be donated directly to the Richard Vazquez Trust.

Join us as we come together in the true spirit of community and aid for our brother in his time of need.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force
