Rich destroyed the club last month.  It looked like a Baptist revival on the dance floor.  There may have been some tears of joy mixed in with all the sweat.  Rich represents a philosophy about djing that is rooted in the b-boy culture of the 80's.  It’s about innovation and fresh style that always pays homage to its roots.  It’s a formula that we've adopted at Ritmos.  It works. It works well.

So this month we decided to invite a guest who has one foot sunk deep in the foundations of dance floor culture and another foot  constantly pressed into new territory.  Damn right folks.  Bobbito's coming' to town.

Although Bobbito is a bonafide Hip Hop legend  his musical passion is boundless.  As a DJ, he has perfected a unique blend of Rare Funk, Latin, Afro-Beat, Soul, Jazz, House, and Ballads that moves crowds from China to South Africa to Brazil.  He’s opened up concerts for D'Angelo, Roy Ayers, Latin Music legend Eddie Palmieri, and former Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen.

Saturday February 12th, Bobbito's rockin Ritmos alongside your resident advisor, Be Brown and special guest dj/host Wonway.  Come find out what happens when keepin' it real goes right.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
