The Yung Mars Project: Blending classic soul, hip-hop, and futuristic funk, Yung Mars has created and refined a sound that is truly original. The "Project" is the live incarnation of his recorded material. A 10 piece band complete with horn, and female vocals sections, they create a dynamic sound that shifts genres seamlessly. Often featuring guest vocalists, DJs, and emcees, you never know who might pop up on stage... On June 4th the Yung Mars Project will be featuring the incredibly talented Miss Cait La Dee, along with other surprise guests.

Karyn Paige & The Scoundrels: Born in Canada and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Karyn Paige has been surrounded by music her whole life. Staring at a Michael Jackson poster through the bars in her crib, she grew up hearing her father’s vinyl records of Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, the Isley Brothers and the O’Jays.

It wasn’t long before Karyn would connect with Joe Bagale, Adam Theis and Jazz Mafia; a local Bay Area collective comprised of talented and diverse musicians who played live regularly in the San Francisco music scene. Karyn fit right in and was soon living her dream of performing on stage.

Developing her own unique style and sound, Karyn started to create a very girly, synthed-out electro R & B vibe. Karyn cites Prince, Michael Jackson and Madonna as her biggest inspirations. Having worked with Producers of Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton and the Pussycat Dolls, Karyn is as professional as they come. From session work as a backup singer to performing as lead vocalist with the Jazz Mafia, her talents have given her the opportunity to share the stage with Bay Area Icon Lyrics Born as well as Musical Legend, Stevie Wonder.

The Scoundrels are: Joe Bagale, Chris Mcgee, Matt Berkeley, & Teeko (41Funk)
