New art space 144 King hosting an event called Mix Masterpiece curated by Jeff Bostic with over 20 local artists and Djs on Friday the 3rd of August.

The Idea behind Mix Masterpiece is to showcase the vast and vibrant communities of art and music in the Bay Area. I curate this show to highlight the Bay Areas' gems that people should know about. This showcase has over 20 artists, Djs, and musicians that highlight the reason why we live in the Bay Area. "The Fresh Makers" and the "Move Shakers" will be here on the 3rd of August. We are also celebrating the new art space "144 King Art Cafe". It is located across the street from ATT park. It is a beautiful space that is out of norm of the usual sports bars and tech companies that this area is has become known for.

After a successful show at Yoshi's SF, Bostic Arts and Music decided to bring this concept to South Beach. Bostic Arts and Music’s goal for this show is to curate a true pollination and representation of the art, music, and community in the Bay Area.  Photographers, video artists, painters, printers, musicians, Djs, small business, non profits, etc. This show is not to be missed and it is for FREE! There will be a lot of art, libations, and tasty 144 King food to be bought as well as local merchants on hand to sell their innovative and creative products!  Come in for the good vibes and leave with a piece of the Bay Area.  Come and celebrate your city and the art, music, and magic it has to offer.

Featured artists include Tim Cohen, Leo Docuyanan, Jeff Bostic, June Eng, Ben Needham, Six Nolasco Morsch,  Jake Frye, Markus Lin, Katy Vawter, Gabriel Wheeler, Michael Valenti, John Coyne, Berlin Tomas and more to be announced…

Featured music and DJs

The selector Dj Kirk (The Revival/Sweater Funk), Boom Bostic (Bostic Arts and Music), Chan Chan (Valencia Radio 87.9 fm), Doug Pagan (Voltage Music), Psychic Sidekicks (Apollo Records)

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. Two kids not much older than him were on the screen — backwards clothes, fearless energy, commanding the world. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
