The HUSH descends on Jack London Square on Saturday June 20 as eleven DJs deliver the historic location's first HUSHfest silent disco. Lucky attendees will enjoy two channels of contrasting styles of music with deep East Bay roots. Channel A will feature soul, funk, disco, r&b and hip hop from East Bay legends Davey D (KPFA's Hard Knock Radio), Dr. Rickey Vincent (KPFA's History of Funk). Ren the Vinyl Archaeologist (True Skool), DJ Platurn (Oakland Faders) and Motion Potion (SFFunk). Channel B will feature house, breaks, and techno from the legendary Brass Tax crew, represented by Ernie Trevino, JoeJoe, Haute Mess, MACE and Marky Ray. Closing out the day will be an East Bay native who is one of the bay Area's most innovative post-genre party turntablists, DJ Mancub of the Space Cowboys.   This event is ALL AGES and as usual, children 12 and under get free headphones with a ticketed parent (1 child/parent)
