RasCue has given so much to Hip Hop as an MC, DJ, Prod., Writer and a member of VBs, U.U. and Cali Agents. What most people don't know is that he fell victim to Renal Chronic Kidney Disease. RasCue has Dialysis 3 times a week and is on 7 different meds. Due to his sky rocketing hospital bills, he's been struggling to support himself and his daughter.

RasCue BIO:

RasCue (Rasta Cue Tip) aka EB.F. aka Black Burgundy is a Senior Umpire as well as VP for Urban Umpires Inc, 1/2 of underground Hip Hop sensation Various Blends (see Various Blends Bio), and DJ for the world renowned Cali Agents (Planet Asia and Rasco). He also hosted of one of Urban Umpires 8 urban platform radio shows - Dancehall Riddims which reached over 3.5 million at it's peak.

Having extensive roots and a positive reputation for creativity RasCue has become a highly desired and seasoned veteran of the San Francisco club scene. Outside of his lyrical endeavors (reaching back to high school) he has been a club DJ since 1994 and regularly tours worldwide. RasCue possesses skill - that is evident.

However skill without diversity is like sugar alone. His style is unmatched because of skill mixed with access to virtually unlimited options due to his immense record collection, which counts into the thousands and is extremely eclectic in its diversity. Listeners to Dancehall Riddims were treated to weekly doses of his rare assembly (contact Urban Umpires exclusively for archived episodes).

Voted Best All-Around DJ by San Francisco's Clubby Awards in 2000, RasCue is known for his seamless blends, crisp cuts, emcee skills, and crowd rocking abilities. He has and continues to tour the world. Japan, Brazil, England, Canada, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, and a full European tour (w/ Cali Agents) are just a few of the countries in his repertoire.

In a never ending pursuit of engagement and meshing of creative process RasCue has collaborated with countless artists and DJ's. Among those are Mos Def, Mystic, Cali Agents, J-Rocc, Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow, Nu-Mark, Cool Chris, Romanowski, Z-Trip, DJ Pogo, DJ Tonk, DJ Craze, Jay-J Hernandez, DJ Spinna, Louie Vega, DJ Marky, Q-Bert, and Mix Master Mike. He has also serves/ed as a resident DJ for the prominent Bay Area parties/venues: Release, Remedy, Jazzed Up/Mushroom Jazz, United Souls, Square/Ruby Sky, and Money $hot.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. Two kids not much older than him were on the screen — backwards clothes, fearless energy, commanding the world. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
