Event Description

ONE NIGHT ONLY! A bus tour guided by emcees and actors through Mid-Market of original street art and graffiti pieces!

It’s a famous debate. What is the first element of hip hop? The most contested answers will be between graffiti, breakdancing or djing. But hands-down the conversation is always celebrated in the cypher or on a wall. The city has expressed its highs and woes through this culture – the world began to listen (and dance to it). Intersection for the Arts and co-conspirators Campo Santo’s mobile theater project titled “First Element“, a slick bio-diesel art bus experiment, aspire to serve an authentic moment of street art culture by captivating an audience in transit. Complete with ALL elements on board, this is true school theater in an ever evolving format.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV.
