We’re very proud to present the Dub Mission debut of The Bumps (aka Sean Casey), a DJ and producer from London, who specializes in Baile Funk, Moombahton, and all the forms of Global Bass. For his DUB MISSION date, he has a special set planned featuring UK bass, Barefoot, Dancehall, dub gems, and even a bit of Rocksteady. Not to be missed!

The multi-talented Bumps is head of Club Popozuda Recordings, founder of The Global Underground Network, a group of about 350 like-minded producers, DJs and bloggers from across the globe--blogger at Global Ghetto and resident DJ and promoter of Club Popozuda and Fiyahpowa in London. He has many productions to his name, including Baby Bumps (Azuli, Ministry Of Sound, Sony BMG), Ultraboogie (XL, Epic) and his first project, and Chocolate Fudge (Azuli). It was whilst doing gigs around Europe as Baby Bumps back in 2000 that he first encountered a strange style of music that was a mash of Miami Bass, with MCs yelling in Portuguese. He later found out that this was "Funk Carioca" or "Baile Funk" to you. Bumps has been hooked ever since. Now deeply ensconced in the Global Bass world, he has tunes coming out with MC Zulu (Chicago), Feral Is Kinky (UK), MC Gi (Brazil), Comrade da Xao (USA), MC Gringo, and MC Gus (Brazil), and is about to work with Paris' Big Dope P. After gigs in San Francisco, Chicago , Bumps heads to Europe to play at a Brazil Festival in Toulouse, and London's Lovebox festival in Victoria Park.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. Two kids not much older than him were on the screen — backwards clothes, fearless energy, commanding the world. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
