B.o.B BIOGRAPHY
Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. (born November 15, 1988),[1] better known by his stage name B.o.B, is an American hip hop recording artist, singer-songwriter and record producer from Decatur, Georgia. He is currently signed under the labels of Grand Hustle Records, Rebel Rock Entertainment, and Atlantic Records.
B.o.B quickly rose to fame after his commercial debut single and the lead single to his then-upcoming album "Nothin' on You", reached number one in both the United States and the United Kingdom. He would later release his second single "Airplanes", which also peaked at number one in the United Kingdom and at number two in the United States, respectively. The album's third single "Magic", became his third consecutive top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Preceded by two extended plays and several mixtapes, his debut studio album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, was released on April 27, 2010, reaching #1 on the US Billboard charts and eventually being certified Gold by the RIAA. Later that year, B.o.B was named the ninth "Hottest MC in the Game of 2010" by MTV.[4]
B.o.B released his second studio album, Strange Clouds, on May 1, 2012. Strange Clouds spawned four successful singles that all charted well internationally; its eponymous lead single, "So Good", "Both of Us" and "Out of My Mind". The album debuted at number five on the Billboard 200.
He is set to release a collaborative album with his Grand Hustle label-boss T.I. and a rock music EP in the near future.[5] B.o.B is currently working on the Grand Hustle compilation album and his third solo album, Underground Luxury.
