In September 1999, the secret was out. Paul Nice - a native New Yorker, dropped his first "Bomb" on an unsuspecting hip hop nation. "Definition of Nice" featuring AG (Show and AG, DITC), Gennessee, and scratching by world famous Beat Junkie Babu is pure hip hop at it's finest. Paul had an unlikely "hit" a couple years back with a simple, self-released break beat entitled Beats Anonymous. Selling his record "out the trunk", it quickly became a favorite at NY's HOT 97 where DJ's Stretch Armstrong and Funkmaster Flex would give it regular spins during their infamous freestyle sessions. Jay Z, Q Tip, Large Professor and Busta Rhymes are among the many heavy hitters who have blessed the track. Taking Beats Anonymous on a trip to the Bay Area gave the record a whole new life. Q Bert (Invisible Scratch Piklz), considered by many to be the greatest DJ in the world, has since "adopted" Paul's beat as his own; incorporating it in all his shows, videos and even on his own album "Wave Twisters". The beat has since become a true undergound classic. Since then, Paul's gotten nice on Rasco's debut album "Time Waits For No Man" (stones throw) producing 3 tracks including the title song, Heat Seeking and View to a Kill which Blaze magazine called "the album's best cut...a butta Paul Nice beat!" Other projects include a hot remix for England's Nightmares On Wax single "Finer", tracks for Swollen Members debut album and upcoming old school collabos with the Diabolical Biz Markie and Masta Ase! No need to check the dictionary for the "Definition of Nice"... the blazing solo debut from one of hip hop's promising new beat makers is available from Bomb Hip Hop Records... from the forthcoming album "There It Is".
