Some know him as Peter Parker, some as Squeeze, others as Go-Go. His mother calls him by his government, Ricky Nelson Govan, Jr. Most of us, though, have come to know him as Marc Stretch, one man mic wrecking crew, and one third of the group Foreign Legion. The number of monikers he dons is exceeded only by his amount of punchlines, weird jobs, and semi professional sports positions. Having moved around the country with a roving tribe of door-to-door grand piano salesmen, variety was the spice of life for a young Marc Stretch. He is, quite literally, a cornucopia of influence, which he flaunts at every opportunity (i.e. always). Already road weary before his teens, Marc settled down in Vallejo, Ca. It was here were he immersed himself in basketball and football, becoming the towns very own little Neon Dion. Go-Go was known for his braggadocio and trash talking, the makings of a perfect rapper. Unfortunately, bruised egos led to brawls. Already achieving enough requirements to graduate, the man- child packed his bags and headed for university. It was here he would hone his skills as a rapper and computer hacker. Once again, great credentials for a lyricist. Marc soon found his way to Oakland, and indirectly, Foreign Legion. He first met Prozack in the local police lock up. Zack was in for disorderly conduct (peeing on an electric fence) and Marc for trying to hijack a rickshaw in Jack London Square. It was fate at its finest. The two (with DJ Design as the fall guy) took their Hennessey and misdemeanor laden show on the road, to rock parties from Arkansas to Aarhus. It was no time before he garnered as many compliments as he had nicknames and traffic violations. Call him P, call him Stretchito, call him whatever you like…Just don’t call him boring. Or Junior.
