TAVE Returns With New Hit Single “BLOCK” ft. IDK & Musiq Soulchild

“BLOCK” is a powerful new single from Grammy nominated R&B sensation TAVE, featuring none other than acclaimed British-American rapper IDK and 13-time Grammy-nominated icon, Musiq Soulchild.

“BLOCK” is a soul-drenched collision of hip-hop and R&B - a warm, nostalgic soundscape pulsing with honesty and intention.  The track challenges surface-level assumptions and dives deep into themes of perception, survival, and non-judgment with lines like, “the brokest people that you see be the rich / let that sink in” landing with quiet force. Built on glowing soul, sparkling keys, and jazzy loops, “BLOCK” blends street grit with spiritual elevation. Musiq Soulchild delivers a signature, soul-stirring performance, while IDK’s fluid, thought-provoking lyrics bring grounded intensity. The chemistry is undeniable, three artists united in craft, pushing each other toward something fresh yet timeless.

TAVE has built a reputation as a successful GRAMMY nominated producer and songwriter, collaborating with the likes of SiR, Alex Isley, 6LACK, Masego and more. His upcoming EP Fly Away is due out August 15th and features extraordinary collaborations with the likes of Stacy Barthe, India Shawn, BiBi Bourelly, Kenyon Dixon and more.

TAVE has had a comprehensive career as a musician, songwriter, touring music director and A&R executive in London, New York, Los Angeles and Saint Lucia. These expansive experiences bring both a professional precision and a humanness to the music he creates, which, combined, give him a unique style all his own. TAVE's collaborations with iconic artists spanning genres as deliciously diverse as his own tastes. From Little Mix, 6LACK, Masego, The Saturdays, Rapsody, SiR, Kelly Rowland, The-Dream, EXO, Jazmine Sullivan, Melanie Fiona, and more, he has lent his unique talents to the world's biggest stars and deepest cuts alike. His recent achievements include co-writing and co-producing K-pop sensation Aespa's debut single, which soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot Shot Debut charts, contributing to Masego's Grammy-nominated album "Studying Abroad: Extended Stay" with standout tracks like "Polygamy" and "Bliss Abroad", and 6LACK's "Inwood Hill Park" from his 2024 Grammy nominated album Since I Have a Lover.

Born and raised in London, TAVE's musical prowess revealed itself at an early age. He learned to play piano and attended the prestigious London School of Music on a scholarship at just 13 years old. A chance encounter led to him performing on stage with R&B star Mark Morrison at 17. While touring with British pop legends All Saints, TAVE crossed paths with producer and songwriter K-Gee, kickstarting his studio career. After writing, recording, and working on records for a diverse array of artists from Rod Stewart to Bow Wow, TAVE showcased his multi-hyphenate talents, taking on roles as a self-taught bassist and musical director on the road.

His approach to authentic and vulnerable storytelling, paired with his exceptional ability to craft genre-expansive "feel good music," has earned TAVE widespread acclaim in the industry. He shares, “Ultimately, my goal is to bring good vibrations, wellness, and healing through music. I really hope it will inspire people to follow their dreams, whatever they may be; the passion has been instilled for a purpose.”

Outside of music, TAVE is also the co-founder of the 2x award-winning Black & Brown-owned music tech company, SSTM, a unique AI platform that supports artists in project completion. This innovative venture further exemplifies TAVE's commitment to empowering fellow musicians and fostering creativity within the industry.
