OBJECTIVE: \"To contribute something that\'s meaningful. Not to be doing it just to be doing it but something you can sit down with years from now at school, in the musicology department and do references to our material. [We] just wanna give something that\'s worthwhile and meaningful to the art, this is our offering, ya know. That\'s it really, it\'s that simple. Because we\'re fine in our other lives and we\'re doing sh*t that we wanna do.\" SOHH VIEW: From talking with Asheru, you can tell that he loves Hip-Hop and respects it more than the every day emcee you see and hear on radio and TV. You can also hear that in their music. I\'ve always enjoyed Unspoken Heard joints so I was looking forward to this album from Asheru and Blue Black. Even though Asheru and Blue Black are dope emcees, for me, it was the production that stands out on this album. The beats are full of dope horn, piano and guitar loops over hard break beats which hark back to the production of the early-mid 90s from Pete Rock, A Tribe Called Quest, and Large Professor. This is an album that Hip-Hop heads should definitely check out, especially the heads in their mid to late 20s and early 30s who came up when Hip-Hop was at its finest. -Q SOURCE: http://www.sohh.com
