Doja Cat is getting movie fans ready for the upcoming self-titled Elvis Presley biopic set to arrive on June 24 with the official music video for “Vegas,” the first single off the Elvis Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
The music video —- directed by child. —- dropped on Friday (June 3) and finds Doja getting ready for a performance at a concert hall while people dance around her. The song interpolates Big Mama Thornton’s 1952 foundational rock and roll classic “Hound Dog” and was first teased during Doja Cat’s performance at Coachella in April.
The movie soundtrack is set to feature songs by Eminem, CeeLo Green, Jazmine Sullivan and more. The film on the other hand tells the story of Elvis, played by Austin Butler, through the lens of his longtime manager Colonel Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks.
While she’s contributing to movie soundtracks, Doja Cat is also putting in work on her next album. During a recent interview with Elle, the 26-year-old revealed her Planet Her follow-up would feature more Hip Hop after Remy Ma claimed she doesn’t consider her to be a rapper at all.
