Hot Peas and Butta is a traveling Funk, Soul, Rare Grooves and all things funky 45 party that got it's beginnings in Philadelphia and New York but has touched down in other states and countries including Los Angeles, Seattle, Japan, Germany and Switzerland to name a few. But the main ingredient that seperates HP&B from other parties of its kind is the unique visuals projected during the event. For each location Skeme taps into his vast VHS video archives of old concert footage, commercials, movie trailers, cartoons, kung fu and blaxploitation flix to compile a cinematic landscape which accompanies the all 45 soundtrack being spun. Visually and sonically, Hot Peas and Butta has you covered!
