"The Egyptian Lover bringing you that sound that you have enjoyed for over 25 years. Some call it Electro, some call it Hip Hop, some call it Old School, some call it Rap but I call it Dance Music. I make music to make you dance. Starting out as a D.J. in 1978-79 and becoming the main D.J. for Uncle Jamms Army in 1982, I have been in the music biz all my life. Getting my style from Kraftwerk and enjoying the 808 drum machine and programming it like a mad man. I love beats and no one was making beats back then. I wrote all the lyrics, it was easy. Because I was making rap tapes for people at my High School I was doing pretty good for myself. I went back to the studio and recorded "And My Beat Goes Boom", "What is a D.J. if He Can't Scratch?" and "The Ultimate Scratch". I did not know what I was in for."                                -Egyptian Lover
