Jill Scott is getting set to embark on her first headlining tour in five years, she’s laying down some ground rules. The neosoul icon’s To Whom This May Concern Tour will be kicking off on June 4 in Nashville, but fans should be prepared: According to CBS News, the singer-songwriter has made it clear that she does not want cellphones out during her performances. Scott has reportedly banned phones and other devices.
“Phones and other recording devices, including smart glasses, will be prohibited at the R&B legend's concerts,” reads an Instagram post from CBS News Philadelphia. “[Scott] requested the restriction so fans can enjoy the shows with a phone-free experience, according to Ticketmaster.”
