Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Married
Bio:
Beginning as a live sound engineer, Gilad Gershoni drew on his invaluable and brilliant ears to create a name for himself in the music world. His raw talent and perseverance has led to engineering positions with artists including De La Soul, KRSOne, Prince Paul, Common, Sizzla, and Talib Kweli, to name a few. Almost a decade of steady touring has brought Gilad and his sound to the best venues in the world, including the Red Rocks Amphitheater (Colorado), Concord Pavilion (Concord), The Fillmore (SF), House of Blues (Chicago, Las Vegas, and L.A.), The Mansion (Miami), Fabrik (Germany), Zensero (Italy), Apollo (Spain), Hammerstein Ballroom (NY), and BB Kings (NY). He has engineered for tens of thousands of people in cities across the world, his personal favorites being Berlin, London, Barcelona, Bari, Tel-Aviv and of course, Oakland, CA

Gilad runs a successful sound production company, Gershoni Sound, out of the bay area. Here at home, he uses his rare gift to produce, compose, edit, mix and master music for world-renown artists, websites, television and radio commercials, and local record labels. Gilad has recorded and produced/engineered some of the bests, including Usher, Lauryn Hill, Seal, JBoogie, and Sugar Minott. Business clients include The Patron Spirits Company, Scion, and Nike.

Lucky for the rest of us, Gilad’s already flourishing career is nowhere near an end. Each new project is viewed as a new chance to push the traditional limits, push personal limits, and create clean and original work. Indeed, each step he takes is one step closer to the ultimate perfection of sound.

The Hated Crew to Release Highly Anticipated Album “DNA” June 5th

More than just another project, DNA represents the core identity of The Hated Crew—its influences, struggles, sound, and artistic vision woven together into one cohesive body of work. The title itself reflects the idea that music is embedded in the group’s very makeup. Every track explores the elements that form their musical “genetic code”: rhythm, storytelling,…See More

Cole Lumpkin Moves With the Music, Letting Life Shape Every Note

Cole Lumpkin doesn’t create from a distance. He creates from inside the moment. As a New York City native, his artistry reflects motion, curiosity, and constant self-interrogation. Music for Lumpkin isn’t something you step into once everything is figured out. It’s something you carry with you, refine on the move, and allow to grow alongside real life. A self-taught…See More

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV.
