Event Description

This Sunday August 12th, if you are anywhere else in The Bay Area besides San Francisco’s Red Poppy Art House, you will have truly lost your mind. Soul Poetry Sound is an event featuring performances by: Aisha Fukushima, Mad Lines, and Coco Peila. Come see three of The Bay’s up and coming Hip Hop gems.

Writer, rhymer and culture warrior, MADlines, combines witty lyrics with off the wall rhyme
schemes. She's worked as a Poet Mentor with
Youth Speaks, graduated with her MFA this year,
and recently released a Mixtape: MAD HABITS.

Aisha Fukushima is a singer, educator and 'RAPtivist' (rap activist). Her work as Leader of a global hip-hop project called 'RAPtivism' (rap activism) has
been highlighted by Oprah Magazine and TEDxSitka.

Emcee, Singer-Songwriter, and producer of the ‘RealNeRds Mixtape series’, Coco Peila, combines empowering lyrics and unique vocal delivery with fun and laughter.

Tickets are available at the door on a sliding scale of $10-15.
