FenToN CooLfooT & The Right Time with Special Guest Lagtime Live at Georges Nightclub

Friday, March 28, 2014 at 9:00 PM - Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:00 AM (PDT)

" FenToN CooLfooT and The Right Time: An animated 7-piece Funk-Soul-Reggae-Rock band lucidly producing a border less, bad-ass, neon colored live music. They are funk, soul, reggae, Latin, and boogie all in one. It's Independent Rebel Music for 2014 and beyond. FenToN CooLfoot and The Right Time gives you "Musical Stories of the Bay, Pretty Girls, Shoes, Cars, and Geetars Live!"

Fully committed to the craft of the live music performance, Mr. FenToN CooLfooT has shared the stage with a wealth of killer Bay Area Bands that exist or have existed over the years. He is well known for his versatility as a guitarist/ and charisma as a Funkateer/Wild-man and bandleader. His original songwriting is inspired by a hard beat, good food, pretty girls, and rad shoes, in addition to tales of growing up and partying here in the SF Bay Area, from Marin County to Oakland to San Francisco. Backed by the mighty Right Time band, it all comes together in a fresh funkin' harmony that shows real life on it's face, hard work, and a ton of love for the game.

FenToN CooLfooT has been/is on the bil with: Capelton, Monophonics, Pressure, Romain Virgo and Protoje, Guy Fox. Miles Schon, Mingo Lewis and many more, as well as shared the stage with/recorded with: Salsa/Reggae band Mucho Axe, award-winning S.F. Latin/reggae band Manicato, Célia Faussart of Les Nubians, Big Tings! (roots reggae backing band), Gema de los Deseos (cumbia music), The Clean-Up Party Band, Afrorhythm, and the High Lonesome Sound System (country/dub/bluegrass). He has recorded with most of these groups including studio work with the popular Chicago-based Hip-Hop/Group Treehouse.

LAGTIME:
Lagtime is a, improv–fusion band. Our music is rooted in rocky fusion, but spans topics such as jazz, funk, reggae and blues. We live mostly down deep in the pocket, but with the liberating guidance of jazz, we make brief re–surfacings to the head to remind you of where you (we) are.

With us, interplay is the name of the game as each member feeds off the others. Rock-solid beats and jazzy tendencies open the door for groove–based, blues–inspired bass lines and a tapestry of infectious melodies and rock–god solos.

Inspired by the likes of David Gilmour, Trey Anastasio, John Scofield, Rush, Elvin Jones, Scott Amendola, Stanley Clarke, Herbie Hancock, Charlie Hunter, Will Bernard, MMW, Charles Mingus, Willie Dixon, etc., Lagtime brings a healthy mixture of improvisational covers and originals for your listening pleasure.
