Event Description

Originally made up of Grand Puba, Sadat X, Lord Jamar, and DJ Alamo, Brand Nubian followed in the footsteps of early De La Soul, with funky beats, upbeat grooves, and rhymes of positivity. On their classic debut album All For One, their easy flow and laid-back rhythms served as the platform for the declaration of their Islamic faith and the teachings of The 5% Nation. Grand Puba left the group to go solo following All For One, and the remaining members continue to spread their message.
