Vallejo rapper LaRussell is receiving backlash after a song posted online namedropped controversial figures like Adolf Hitler, Jeffrey Epstein and President Donald Trump.
“Even the devil was heaven sent. Even Malcolm was heaven sent. Even Martin was heaven sent. Even Kanye was heaven sent. We all heaven sent. Donald (Trump) too. Epstein too. We all heaven sent. Adolf (Hitler) too,” LaRussell rapped in front of a crowd.
The clip, which has more than 6 million views on X since being posted Saturday, has gone viral garnering thousands of social media comments. LaRussell even admitted he was advised not to publish the video.
“My engineer told me I probably shouldn’t put this song out,” LaRussell said.
“Shoulda listened to your engineer,” one comment on X wrote in reply to the video post.
Days later, on Tuesday, LaRussell released a video on X responding to the criticism. It was not an apology video; it was more of a doubling down of his original sentiment.
“WE ALL HEAVEN SENT!!! NOT HEAVEN BOUND,” LaRussell wrote on X. “ARGUE WITH YOU MOMMA OR BARACK OBAMA.”
LaRussell defended himself by shutting down the notion he supports Epstein, a registered sex offender who passed away in 2019. The rapper said he was making a point that it is the same God that created amazing inviduals and evil ones also.
