Oakland rapper Too Short is set to host a Bay Area hip-hop 50th anniversary celebration.
The event, organized by the independent San Francisco record label Empire, is scheduled to take place at SVN West on Oct. 15. It will feature break-dancing demonstrations, graffiti artists, local vendors and DJ sets. Among the local turntablists performing at the San Francisco event are Steady, Cream of Beat, Big Von, Scotty Fox and others.
Bay Area radio personalities Jesus “Chuy” Gomez and Sway Calloway are slated to cohost.
