Ed Sheeran returns with the cinematic video for "South of the Border," assisted by Cardi B and Camila Cabello.
As expected, the Jason Koenig-directed visual was heavily inspired by a classic spy film, as it includes everything from a heist and car cash to a fight scene and a couple of femme fatales.
"South of the Border" is the latest single off Sheeran's No.6 Collaborations Project, which arrived back in July. The artist spoke about the track and working with Cardi during an iHeartRadio interview with Charlemagne tha God.
"I’ve always wanted to make a song with Cardi B, just personality-wise ... She’s very animated, very lovely, so I’ve always wanted her on a record." he said. "I love how unfiltered she is. Literally. She’s so media trained not to be media trained, like, her whole schtick is she goes on and says whatever she wants, and that is what works for her, whereas I never had a media training either, and I feel like I get to just say what I want. And she’s successful because she is who she is."
