[Exclusive] YoSean Turns Scripture Into A Song With “Next Time Will Be Fire”

YoSean is an artist who moves with purpose. Coming out of Kansas City, his music is shaped by faith, life lessons, and years of experience. Known to family as Joseph Washington Jr., YoSean has spent over 15 years growing as an artist and as a man, and that growth shows clearly in his work today.

Before the name YoSean, he was known as 21 Th King. That chapter brought major attention, including a moment on America’s Got Talent and time in Hollywood. While the spotlight opened doors, it also brought challenges that tested his beliefs and direction. Those trials led him back to prayer and reflection. From that season came change.

The name YoSean represents rebirth and focus. His music now serves a bigger purpose, one rooted in truth and accountability. He is not just making songs. He is sharing messages meant to last.

That message is front and center on his second single, “Next Time Will Be Fire,” taken from the OXYGEN project.

Inspired by the biblical story of Noah, the song reminds listeners that the world was once cleansed by water because of sin, but scripture says the next cleansing will come by fire. YoSean turns this warning into a moment of self check, asking people to think about where they stand in their faith.

“Next Time Will Be Fire” is not about fear. It is about awareness. YoSean speaks in a calm, clear voice that makes the message easy to understand for listeners of all ages. The song encourages people to live with intention and faith before it is too late.

Sonically, the record blends hip hop with soulful emotion, allowing the message to breathe. YoSean’s storytelling is rooted in real life struggles, making the song feel honest and grounded.

This record shows an artist who is no longer chasing the moment, but walking in purpose. With “Next Time Will Be Fire,” YoSean continues to prove that hip hop can still carry truth, faith, and meaning without losing its edge.
