In the wake of a global pandemic, the community of Oakland, California is rocked by a heinous crime fomented by members of a violent militia organization who call themselves the "Boogaloo Bois", a name co-opted from a classic 1980's cult dance film.
In the face of unprecedented and often unwarranted fear mongering, government surveillance, and media crackdowns, the original progenitors of the global music and dance phenomenon known as "Boogaloo", organize to reclaim their true identity, educate their communities, and preserve their proud and illustrious history and culture, against incredible odds.
