Ren the Vinyl Archaeologist takes you back to the Old School from the early party raps from the Sugar Hill label to the message rap of Grandmaster Melle Mel on "The Message" and "Beatstreet Breakdown". The mix also includes the first rap song, "King Tim III (Personality Jock) by the Fatback Band. (No. Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" was not the first. Nor did they write "Rapper's Delight". They bit the rhyme from Grandmaster Caz. Know your history!)
