Released today through New Dawn Records, the new album “XVI : Return of the Gods” by New Jersey rapper Tru Trilla.
A long time affiliate of Naughty by Nature and Lords of the Underground, the Brick City veteran has gathered together a heavyweight line up of guest featured artists and producers from around the United States and beyond for this, the follow up to his critically acclaimed “God of Barz” released almost exactly four years ago to the day in 2020.
Robust beats and turntablism provide a diverse and powerful soundtrack for a blockbuster of fierce bars, slick rhymes and gritty lyricism delivered by some of hip hop’s most renowned verbal technicians at the top of their game. Decorated vets and fresh prize fighters stand shoulder to shoulder to deliver a salvo of dexterous flows and masterful wordplay tackling an array of subject matter with compelling results. A display of the highest caliber mic skills laced with pearls, served up for the connoisseur through a series of prime cuts by masters of the craft.
