Music Legend Kilo MOE is Back With New Album

For the lovers of hip-hop and rap, Kilo MOE is not a new name. A seasoned artist of the game, Kilo MOE has been producing great music lately. He continues the streak with an upcoming album.
The artist is all set to release his fifth album, titled “Ole Pierpoint”. According to Kilo MOE, the album will be about the “who’s who” in the music industry. It talks about what do the artists get in return for their work, and what does the music labels own. The album will also shed light on the mergers, acquisitions, and hostile takeovers common in the music industry. He calls the album “extrospective” – something that forces you to look around you and face the truth. The album will also be a visual treat to the listeners. Kilo MOE is collaborating with Midwest producer Quality Bluu. It will release sometime in the 3rd quarter of the year, possibly in July.
If there was an album that exposes the reality of the music biz, there could be hardly someone more apt than Kilo MOE. The artist has spent three decades in the industry, from an aspiring musician to an accomplished artist. He started creating music in the late 90s. Since then, he has released four studio albums, as well as six mixtapes. The artist was one of the early adopters of digital content, predicting its rising prominence. That’s why he decided to create his own studio of On My Grizzly (OMG) Entertainment Inc. in 2012. The studio gave chance to indie artists who were often rejected by big labels. As a musician and a producer, Kilo MOE has witnessed the exploitative side of the music industry. His words simply seek to expose it to the wider world. For the lovers of hip-hop and rap, Kilo MOE is not a new name. A seasoned artist of the game, Kilo MOE has been producing great music lately. Kilo MOE always had a passion for music. Growing up in the 80s, he witnessed the paradigm shift that occurred in the music space. He spent some years in Germany where he first learned about DJs and mixtapes. He returned to the States in the late 80s, spending the rest of his childhood around the street culture. He was heavily inspired by their style and swagger, particularly the coke dealers. Moving drugs was the rage in the 90s, and a kilo of coke was worth a fortune. That’s how Kilo MOE got his name.
What makes Kilo MOE unique is the progression of his musical style. Unlike most artists, who confine themselves to their style and refuse to grow, Kilo MOE has constantly evolved with time. His albums are a testament to this. His last album was ‘Fly G’z and Palm Treez’, a hip-hop album with 11 tracks. The album stands out for its relatable and powerful lyrics, which are drawn from the artist’s own experience. Kilo MOE credits his years in Florida where he witnessed infidelity, vanity, drugs, and mid-life crisis. The album allows the artist to unleash the full power of his rap. It drew praise as one of the most impressive rap works of the year.Kilo MOE recognizes the paradigm shift that the year 2020 brought to the music industry. The pandemic finally brought what he had advocated for years – a highlight on the digital music content. It democratized the music industry and allowed small, independent artists to share their work with the world without any music labels. Personally, Kilo MOE was also adversely affected by the pandemic. His projects were put on halt, as well as the expansion of his digital radio station.
But it seems that in 2021, the artist is going to regain his throne.
