Bio:
Oakland Music Festival 2014 (OMF) arrives in Downtown Oakland for its second annual event. OMF is an indoor and outdoor music, art and food event aimed to foster and support both the local music community and the diverse food & spirit craftsmen that give Oakland its distinct flavor. The Festival will take place September 27th, 2014, 12:00pm to 8:00pm at the Franklin Street Bend in the vibrant Uptown District of Downtown Oakland. This year, not only will OMF move to a new, larger Franklin Street location, but will also partner with local venues in the area to host additional festival related showcases, activities and promotions. This additional space will provide capacity for additional vendors and attendees, including 2,000 person outdoor stage.

OMF’s central, urban setting, located at the Franklin Street Bend, also offers a unique backdrop while also taking into consideration the public transit opportunities available within the immediate area, with BART and Bus Lines located within a few blocks of the event location.

While the core mission of OMF will be music-centric, areas will be provided to showcase local artists and to feature local eateries, fashion designers and businesses in and interactive and engaging manner. This core value will also extend to our sponsors and how they chose to activate and engage and the attendees.

Highlighting the diverse community of Oakland and the greater Bay Area, this community event brings together all ages and backgrounds, including many of the area’s influential tastemakers that have helped to elevate Oakland’s cultural capital and garnered national acclaim for the city. OMF features multiple stages hosting local and established artists and DJs spanning genres of Hip-Hop, Electronic, Rock, Alternative and World music.

We hope you support our efforts to bring a new and positive element to Oakland and the Bay Area and help support local arts, entertainment and businesses.
