- Welcome to the world of the promotional company that never sleeps, UrbanLax Entertainment. CEO, Ahnna Alise has been grinding since 2008 and she is just getting started making power moves in the industry. UrbanLax Entertainment prides itself on music of underground artists, producers and others in the music industry and use the internet to connect them to the world. Ahnna Alise was born in Lansing, MI. Growing up her parents constantly played a lot of gospel and jazz. Even with that surrounding, she focused on her love of basketball more then anything. It wasn’t until her parents were divorced when she started getting into differnt styles of music. Music took her to a place of relaxation and diverted her mind from the hurt and confusion. Her music collection expanded with some of the hottest Hip Hop and R&B artists, beginning with "Evolution"by Boyz II Men. Ahnna would even sneak some of DJ Quick's albums into the house even though it was strictly against her mothers rules. By the time she started high school, Ahnna was selling cd’s from her collection out of her backpack! She had a passion for getting good music to the people. Throughout her high school career basketball was still her main focus despite everything else. It wasn’t until two knee injuries that started her to think about other career paths. Ahnna attended Northwood University, majoring in Entertainment and Sports Promotion Management. She quickly became the “go to” person on campus for music and album reviews. Northwood was the place where she found out exactly what career she wanted to pursue. Ahnna had to figure out how turn her love of music into a career. With Northwood’s teachings, her focused entrepreneurial spirit, "UrbanLax Entertainment" was born. Networking with many people in the entertainment industry helped define the purpose for UrbanLax Entertainment. Her passion quickly became taking the most unknown artist and getting their music exposure. This would become the driving force behind her company. Ahnna Alise’s hard work and hustle is finally paying off and taking UrbanLax Entertainment to new heights.
