Yung Lonn Releases New Album “The Stroke Couldn’t Kill Me”

Yung Lonn was raised in the small town of Mansfield, Ohio, as the sole child of his mother. During his formative years, he dedicated himself to basketball, traveling extensively to compete with various AAU teams. While basketball was his primary passion in childhood, he developed an interest in music at the age of 13, beginning to write rap lyrics. For several years, he balanced his commitment to basketball with his burgeoning musical talent. However, upon turning 18, he decided to abandon his basketball aspirations due to persistent hamstring injuries and shifted his focus more seriously towards music, establishing his own brand in the process.

At the age of 21, Yung Lonn formed a musical group called S.T.A.R, which consisted of three artists, including himself, who shared a fervent passion for music and aspirations of achieving mainstream success. Unfortunately, the group disbanded due to changes in their personal lives. Subsequently, he initiated an indie rock band named "The Vacant Lot," where he combined rap with soft rock elements. This band, however, only performed a limited number of shows before the members chose to pursue their individual paths.

Following this, Yung Lonn launched a new brand called ILLEST GENIUS, which embodied his artistic vision and musical identity. He maintained this brand for several years, but as the friends who initially collaborated on the concept departed, he decided to discontinue its use. Since then, Yung Lonn has embarked on a solo career, striving to elevate his name and his new brand, Self Made Music Group, to mainstream recognition.

In 2022, Yung Lonn experienced a stroke, necessitating a period of reflection and recovery before re-entering the music scene. Now, two years later, he has released a new album titled “The Stroke Couldn’t Kill Me.” This album features a collection of dynamic and engaging singles, including "Sober," "Big Dog," and "Spiritual Healing," among others.

Get familiar with the exceptionally talented artist, Yung Lonn, and delve into his newest album, “The Stroke Couldn’t Kill Me,” available now on all major platforms.
