For the entirety of this past week, Jimmy Kimmel has been filming his late-night show live and direct from Brooklyn Academy of Music in his hometown, where Cardi B, St. Vincent, and Spiderman, all made appearances.
The final night of the week’s east coast stint featured a performance from a nearly full-force Wu-Tang Clan. The surviving members (RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Cappadonna, and Masta Killa) capped the finale with a unified front blazing through iconic cuts from their 1993 debut, Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. Watch them perform “Protect Ya Neck” and “C.R.E.A.M.” below.
Currently, the group is touring in celebration of the album’s 25th-anniversary, and in memory of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who would have turned 50 this year. Their big and small screen projects include an upcoming ODB biopic feature, produced (of course) by RZA, as well as a binge-worthy TV debut, as Hulu confirms an upcoming drama series based on RZA’s telling of the group’s origins via The Wu-Tang Manual and Tao of Wu.
