Over the weekend (September 13 to 15th) The REVOLT Summit went down in Atlanta. The three-day event featured a number of panels and talks from various figures in music, pop culture, and politics.
One of the more interesting panels occurred on Saturday, September 14th when T.I., Killer Mike, Candace Owens, activist Tamika D Mallory, Steven Pargett Of Trap The Vote, and Katrina Pierson, a senior advisor for President Donald Trump, appeared on a panel called Trap the Vote: Hip Hop & Politics.

The whole panel, which went for over an hour, is fascinating, and it includes many highlights (including a stirring Killer Mike speech.)

But the most buzzed about moment came when T.I. and Owens had a heated exchange over Trump. Owens was explaining her support for Trump when T.I. asked her:
"When you say Make America Great Again, which period are we talking about?…[Is it] the period when women couldn’t vote? The period when we were hanging from trees? The crack era? Which period in America are you trying to make great again?"
