Freddie Gibbs and Anderson .Paak appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to perform “Feel No Pain” and “Blackest in the Room.”
Freddie Gibbs brought his new album, $oul $old $eparately, to late night television on Monday night (January 23). With assistance from Anderson .Paak and The Roots, the Gary, Indiana emcee floated through “Blackest in the Room” and “Feel No Pain” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The latter song makes Gibbs’ second collaboration with .Paak, as the two last collaborated on “Giannis” from 2019 album Bandana, produced entirely by Madlib.
After making a splash with Bruno Mars as soulful duo Silk Sonic in 2021, .Paak reunited with longtime producer Knxwledge as duo NxWorries last year, releasing single “Where I Go” with H.E.R. in October. Next, .Paak will make his directorial debut with musicial film K-POPS!, where he’ll co-star along with his eldest son, Soul Rasheed.
