NPR started the work week with a Tiny Desk Concert starring Uncle Charlie Wilson. Now the end it with another living legend: Babyface.
WIth luminaries like Chanté Moore, Avery Wilson, and Tank providing backup, Kenny Edmonds went through just a snippet of his decades-strong career and catalog, performing his both own classics (“Whip Appeal,” “Take A Bow”), the classics he’s written for others (“Two Occasions,” “Not Gon’ Cry,” “Can We Talk”) and tracks people may not know he had a hand in (The Deele’s “Two Occasions,” Fall Out Boy’s “Thnks fr th Mmrs”). Yeah, this whole set is perfect.
