I was recently interviewed by NBC 11 Bay Area after the verdict came in about the murder of Tupac Shakur. I was ironically, just outside of Baltimore the day after doing a seminar and lecture on stoic philosophy. I’m still in the fog of how I feel.

Marcus Aurelius said you have power over your mind, not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength. I’ve said that quote a hundred times on this show. Tonight I’m not sure I believe I’ve lived it.

This one’s about Tupac. About the verdict. About a friend I lost before I was ready to lose him, and a case that finally moved after decades of silence. I want to be honest with you before we go one word further: I don’t know if I have closure. I’m not sure closure is even the right word for something like this. What I have is a beginning. A door cracked open after years of it staying shut.
