His latest emergence arrives courtesy of Spute Ardell, the maestro behind the new Makavillain mash-up project. Blending the brilliant bars of the late Tupac Shakur with DOOM’s dusty, glitch-and-gloom soul loops, Ardell puts forth a monstrous pairing for an hour and change of time-and-space bending.
Last month, DOOM appeared on the Beautiful Dark Twisted DOOM mashup, pitting two villainous producers against one another on a masterful, no-force, mix. DOOM’s latest official release arrived at the top of the summer, squaring up with DJ Muggz for a pair of ferocious frequencies, one of which featured a grim video that silenced Kanye’s MAGA musings for good.
You can hear Spute Ardell’s Makavillain mash-up tape in full below. Stay tuned for the next twisted transmission and hold tight for a list of the year’s best mash-ups in the weeks ahead.
