Summer-ready hit ‘I’m The Man’ from South Florida rapper Taeyz lights up audiences worldwide

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – If you don’t bop your head and bounce when you listen to the latest single from Florida artist Taeyz, there’s something wrong with you. “I’m The Man” is a sure-fire summer hit with its bouncy groove and swaggy rapid-fire flow. It’s a club and party track that’s ready-made for just having a good time. And Taeyz is offering it up to the world just in time to make waves through a summer when so many people are ready to get out and let loose after more than a year of quarantines and social distancing.

“The vibe of the song is just filled with joke lines and dancing,” Taeyz said. “When I made it I was just having fun. It’s about a fly guy in the club just having a good time – just having fun and dancing. Just like all of my other songs, this one is me being me. I’m never talking about anything violent – it’s all fun and happy vibes, which is my personality and my music.”

Many listeners of his music will recognize a sound that feels a little bit like Big Sean or Tyga, and Taeyz doesn’t shy away from those comparisons. In fact, he feels honored to be mentioned in the same breath as those legends – especially since he’s only been doing music professionally for about a year. He never really thought music would be a legitimate career for him, until one day in early 2020 he was driving as a Lyft driver and ended up with a producer in his back seat. The producer was Bronson, and as they started talking he shared with Taeyz some of his beats.

“I just kind of randomly said, ‘I like that. You should let me make a song if the opportunity is there,’” Taeyz said. “I didn’t think anything would come from it, but he encouraged me to do it and the first song we made together got a lot of really good feedback from my friends. They all said it was a song that could be on the radio. So I got with Bronson and started making more and more, and that’s how I got to where I am today. I had no idea I had this talent, I just wanted to see if I could make more songs that friends said could be on the radio. And I wanted to make sure that if I was going to do this as a serious career than I wanted to do it right.”

Today Taeyz has 10 songs ready for release, and he plans to follow up “I’m The Man” with a love song called “I Found One” later this summer. As he builds his fanbase and shares his music with more and more audiences around the world, he said he hopes he becomes known for making good music and being a creative artist.

“I just like good music,” he said. “I want to be another artist who makes good music.”
