Multi-talented female singer and songwriter Ryden drops her latest video "What Does It Do" exclusively written and produced by Ryden herself.

Rising female producer/vocalist Ryden has garnered a lot of comparisons lately to Missy Elliott for her range of abilities with production and songwriting. In a time where female rap is on the rise, Ryden stands out alone with her signature beatmaking and the unmistakable cool in her vocal delivery.

Those same abilities have earned Ryden brand partnerships with Ethika, fashion labels, the UFC and more. Most recently, Ryden’s rap anthem Ready was featured as the promo track to the UFC’s Road To The Octagon series. Her releases have been featured prominently in all-genre publications such as
Earmilk and Your EDM and supported by major festival circuit DJs such as ETC ETC and Party Favor.

A one-woman production studio, Ryden’s beats and vocals are completely self-made, self-written and self-engineered. Her productions are distinctly urban with a touch of electronic, a product of years spent in the trenches of hip hop as a DJ before immersing herself in recent dance music influences.

More recently, Ryden’s sound has evolved from anthemic orchestral creations to slick, Neptunes-like beatmaking paired with even slicker vocals.

What Does It Do is the first of a slew of upcoming radio/club friendly hits showcasing this new sound. The single shows off a new, more sensual side of the femcee’s voice and production with a video to match.

With several more to come, Ryden is poised to take on the summer.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV.
