The product of a two-day studio session at the famous Henson Studios will feature Yasiin Bey, Herbie Hancock, and SiR, among others.
All-world artist/producer Robert Glasper has announced a surprise mixtape called Fuck Yo Feelings set to be released on October 4th. During a two-day studio session at the Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood —which originally started with Chris Dave, Derrick Hodge, and DJ Jahi Sundance — Glasper called in a few high-profile friends.
The project is a reunion of sorts, Glasper mentions during a documentary he released announcing the project, as he, Dave, and Hodge hadn’t played together since 2011’s Grammy-winning Black Radio. “Every album I do, I want to try to represent the times we’re in,” Glasper said. “I try to use my music as a catalyst to make people think about things, and hopefully to help promote change…It’s something to document the time period.”
